US Vice President J.D. Vance and his spouse, Usha Chilukuri Vance, went to the Commander-in-Chief Ball in Washington, D.C., on January 20, 2025. The second lady’s exquisite appearance enthralled netizens just as much as the event itself.

Social media fans were unable to resist admiring Usha’s floor-length dress after watching a video of the Vances standing next President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during their first dance to The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Someone said, “She looks like a princess.” One more person said, “Usha’s dress is phenomenal.”

“Usha is so vibrant and stylish!!!,” one admirer said, while another said, “Usha looks radiant!” One individual agreed and said, “Usha wins best dressed of the night.” A supporter remarked, “Usha is quickly becoming a fashion icon… flawless.”

One netizen added, “Usha Vance looked so lovely,” to the ongoing plaudits. Her dress was flawless, exactly like her earlier #Inauguration2025 ensemble. #Usha #SecondLady.” As someone else put it, “This is a real example of class and elegance.”

Similar thoughts were expressed by an X user who posted, “Usha is STUNNING!”

Usha wore a warm pink coat, cream-white gloves, matching boots, and a scarf to Donald’s 60th President inauguration. The second lady was spotted posing in the Emancipation Hall of the US Capitol with her husband and the Trumps.

Oscar de la Renta claimed responsibility for creating the second lady’s inauguration ensemble based on two Instagram photos. In one picture, Usha was seen smiling and strolling, and in another, she was seen beaming as her husband was sworn in as vice president.

“A continuous celebration of American history and tradition,” he said. Second Lady Usha Vance dons a handcrafted peony cashmere coat with scarf wrap and matching tea-length dress for the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies.

The second woman talked candidly about her relationship with J.D. in a previous interview. Usha responded, “He treats everything I say with a lot of seriousness and respect, and that becomes the way that he thinks about things,” when asked if her advise has caused her husband to change his views.

She went on, “As is the case with me, his discussion of topics and the conclusions he draws greatly influence my own thoughts. Thus, there’s a pleasant exchange that, in my opinion, is quite joyful.

Prior to completing his undergraduate studies and going to law school, where he met Usha, J.D. served in the Marines. She disclosed that before they began dating, they were acquaintances and took classes together during their first semester together.

J.D. liked her first, the second lady admitted, but she also said, “I wasn’t too far behind.” The pair spent a lot of time together, studied together, and engaged in a variety of activities. The Marines, she revealed, were “very transformational for him.”

He acknowledged that the skills he acquired there included the fundamentals of living and how to conduct oneself as an adult, something he had previously lacked. By forming relationships with people from all backgrounds, he also learned how to start a family.

He now counts several of those individuals as his closest friends. The vice president’s spouse added that J.D.’s background influenced his perspectives on family. She clarified that his viewpoint stems from the understanding that without his family members watching out for him, he wouldn’t be in his current position.

“Seeing my family and knowing that the stability and peace of mind I bring to our family life comes from, you know, all of the support that I had,” Usha continued. Simply having trust that everything will work out because I received support from others.”

The second woman stressed that having a solid support network within the family is essential to her husband’s success. Understanding himself and knowing that he has loved ones waiting for him when he returns home are essential to his wellbeing.

Usha thoughtfully said, “I think I want them to know that he’s a real person,” in response to the question of what she wants the world to know about her husband. He’s a fantastic dad. He makes a great husband. My best friend is him. He’s hilarious. He has “all sorts of dorky interests” that people their age may identify with, she added in jest.

In addition, J.D.’s wife called him a “really good person,” and she hopes that people will listen to him and comprehend the significance and intent of what he has to say.

Since then, the couple has welcomed three children: Mirabel, Vivek, and Ewan. Netizens responded to the three of them attending their parents’ inauguration. “Beautiful family,” one user said. Children are too adorable to put into words.

“Such a beautiful family!” said another. “J.D. Vance has the CUTEST daughter,” said a third. She is so cute 😍 [sic].

The mother of three previously spent a year as a law clerk at the U.S. Supreme Court after working as an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP from 2015 to 2017. Usha Vance was once again an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP prior to her appointment as the second lady.
